Ways to help MICYA.
Money is not the only thing that helps. These are the kinds of help MICYA can use at this stage. Passing the website on to someone who lives nearby is useful too.
What actually helps
- Lend a skill
- Trades, planning, law, accounting, design, translation. A project at this stage runs on people who know how something works and are willing to explain it.
- Give time
- Practical help, on site and off it. Tell us what you can do and when you are free, rather than waiting to be handed a job.
- Make an introduction
- To someone who has done this before, to a supplier, or to another community organisation. An introduction costs nothing and can save a lot of time.
Why this kind of help matters.
An hour from a builder or an accountant early on can prevent problems that would cost far more to fix later.
